1. Upper Castle

In the Upper Castle visitors can learn in detail about the Thun family. The unique picture gallery depicts individual family members. Original Renaissance wall paintings and ceilings, as well as stoves, can be seen.

2. Lower Castle (basic tour)

The Lower Castle is conceived as a noble residence. Visitors can view a ceremonial and banqueting hall, scullery, armoury, bedrooms and studies. They can learn how the nobility lived in the chateau and its customs.

As well as the Lower Castle the first floor of the Wolf’s Palace which houses an exhibition of historical clocks is also accessible. In June 2015 the sight-seeing tour should be extended to include the second floor of the Wolf’s Palace where an exhibition is planned of outlining the restoration...
